FIELD STUDY 2 - DAY 2: Teacher 'Dodong', You'll be fine in a few days!

The same task, but more goals have been met. This day, November 4, 2022, is my second day as a student teacher in Field Study 2 under my cooperating teacher, ma'am Jenny Dumagan of Pantukan National High School. I was tasked once more with encoding scores in all five sections from grade 7 to grade 10.I wasn't surprised because Ma'am Jenny had already informed me the day before that I would continue to type all of her students' grades into the E-class of a Microsoft Excel. It was not a new task, but the quantity I have gained and achieved exceeds what I had targeted last week. My CT handed me all of the papers I needed to encode, and she says, "Ayaw lang gud dalia, okay rajud," but I'm thinking, "Kaulaw sad og hinay-hinayon uy, I need to finish these all so that I can see the works I've accomplished."
From the first period to the last period in the morning, I was in the classroom of my cooperating teacher, somehow observing the class since it was their examination. However, I am focused on my task, which is to encode scores, so what I did was capture them with my phone and continue the work I am doing. During the first period, some students passed behind me, just watching what I was doing. I sat in the back until their second period began and they took their exams in the subject MAPEH, while I continued to code and think about my goal.
Ma'am Jenny is already in her classroom after the second period, reminding me that "it is okay, uy, ayaw lang gayud dalia sir." Then I answered, "Okay, ragud ma'am, ay, walay problema ma'am." Genuinely, it's true that it's okay for me to encode; however, I'm tired, still learning, and adjusting to where my future is headed. Finally, the third period starts, ma'am. You leave the classroom and go to Grade 8, Beryl, and still, ma'am, Jenny lets me finish the task she gave me.
Continuing the momentum of encoding, my back is aching because I've been sitting in the chair for more than two hours. The reason behind this might be because of my sitting position. However, an hour has passed and many papers have been encoded; the exhausting task is nearing completion.Suddenly, I have realized that after these hours of sitting and doing this, just "one" of the responsibilities of a teacher is not an easy task for a teacher. Every teacher's effort has gone into making this a day of dwelling on stressful numbers and the "makalibat" task of encoding, rather than a work of a second or a minute. But, as a student and now as a student teacher, I know that teaching is a vocation, not a job. It takes drive to get started and stay focused on the goal with passion.
My second day is the same as my first day—a tiring yet fulfilling day to be considered. Yes, I'm drowning in papers for encoding, but it was insightful in the sense that I now understand the reasons behind every task that a real teacher is doing. Hence, in my future career as a teacher, management will be pivotal, but patience for responsibilities and a motivation to strive and work in the field will also be necessary. Teacher Dodong, you'll be fine in a few days!
